SmartGuide is a creative inner-city technology company, integrating and developing innovative software, hardware and electronic engineering solutions that weren't there before we imagined them. We typically take projects from concept all the way through to design, development, manufacturing, sales, support and maintenance thereafter.
We are currently looking to expand our small team with an experienced project manager who has demonstrable experience in delivering complex projects and is passionate about their work. The role has responsibility for leading the delivery of a multi-year nationwide deployment of an end-to-end asset management and tracking solution. The solution utilises innovation technology, consisting of smartphones apps, electronic devices, communications infrastructure, and hardware manufacturing. Our customer is a well-known Australian brand and the project manager will work closely with the customer, external contractors, and other technology professionals to deliver a unique solution to a complex problem.

- You have 10+ years’ experience in leading and delivering technology projects;
- You have experience across a range of technology project types, including software, hardware and/or infrastructure;
- You are prepared to be responsible for end-to-end delivery, including planning, initiation, execution, and transition to operations;
- You have strong experience in managing vendors, contractors and third parties critical to the successful delivery of the project;
- You have demonstrable experience in managing a multi-disciplinary project with multiple streams and a dispersed project team;
- You are excited about the opportunity to work with emerging technologies and you have the agility to adjust and pivot in order to achieve the right outcome for the customer;
- You have experience with a range of project delivery methods and tools, and are able to adjust the approach to suit the nature of the delivery;
- You have very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and can adapt your communication to suit operational staff, project team members and senior stakeholders, as required;
- You have strong hands-on experience in managing project financials, schedules, reporting, and risks and issues;
- You prefer a start-up atmosphere over a corporate environment and you want to work to enjoy it, not just pay the bills;
- Your ability to influence multiple stakeholders and collaborate across teams is of a very high standard;
- You believe in fair treatment, gender equality and respect for all.
